Mexico-Canada Concert

On January 29, 2022, Ópera de San Miguel, in association with Les Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques (JAL) from Montreal, held the seventh edition of its Mexico-Canada Concert at the Miguel Malo Auditorium at the “El Nigromante” Cultural Center in San Miguel de Allende.

 

The occasion served to present the winner of the San Miguel Opera Award at the JAL contest, the Canadian-Polish soprano Karoline Podolak, who sang a program of arias and opera duets with the baritone from Guadalajara Carlos López (winner of 1st prize in Concurso 2017).

 

The singers were accompanied by maestro Mario Alberto Hernández, OSM's resident pianist.
